9/20/2020 · To roller test brakes , you lock out, mental note the reading say 100 then you start the roller again and gradually pull the lever to say 85/90 and hold it to see if the machine reading (needle/lcd) fluctuates (goes up n down) then lock out again for final read figure which is entered.
What would cause fluctuation? Variable disc thickness. They told me the discs were warped, thats why I measured the runout. And I dont have a brake force dynamometer at home. 9/15/2015 · It’s also possible that you have one piston seized, so only one of the pair is operating and this will also cause juddering, and also probably warp the disc. Change the discs and pads and look at pad wear – if the pads are worn unevenly, look at the callipers.

10/1/2017 · Not sure what you mean by brake fluctuations. You will get a higher reading from the driver’s side brake because there is weight on the driver’s side…you. The reading don’t look like the readings I’m used to from the brake testing machine…usually you will get readings up to or beyond 300 on a front brake or 100 to 200 on a rear.
